Jurgen Klopp will be handed £100million in monster summer spending spree

JURGEN KLOPP will be handed a £100million war chest to turn Liverpool into title contenders.

The club’s Fenway Sports Group owners are willing to back their German boss in a monster summer spending spree.

Klopp wants a new goalkeeper and aims to buy British — with Jack Butland and Fraser Forster both targets.

But a marquee attacker is top of his Anfield shopping list this summer.

Bayern Munich’s Mario Goetze is a target, while Klopp feels Borussia Dortmund’s jet-heeled forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is perfect for Emgish football.

Either Bundesliga star would take up a big chunk of his kitty, but Fenway’s generous budget reflects the huge confidence they have in Klopp (right).

Owner John W Henry has been impressed with the German’s five months in charge after he replaced axed Brendan Rodgers.

Meanwhile, Klopp insists he does not care if big-name stars snub him this summer due to them not making the top four.

He said: “If there’s a player who won’t join Liverpool because we don’t play in the Champions League, or will only join because we’re in the Champions League, that’s not for us.

“There are a lot of players out there. If we can’t convince the player, then we can’t. I don’t care. We will find players.”
